Daniel Pizzato has over 15 years’ experience creating and leading culturally-resonant work spanning advertising, design and creative production throughout Australasia, Europe and Africa.
Most recently a Group Creative Director at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, Daniel has led creative teams at Leo Burnett as Creative and Design Director and TBWA Melbourne. With a passion for simple, potent ideas that cut through the clutter and permeate into culture, Daniel has produced highly memorable work in partnership with brands such as ANZ Bank, Dairy Farmers, 7-Eleven, Bonds, Nissan, McCain, Medibank, Australian Unity and Myer. He has been awarded over 100 times for both creativity and effectiveness, including a Grand Prix at Cannes, Grand Prize at New York Festivals, Webbys, D&AD pencils and the Best Direct Campaign in the World by the Big Won.
A long-standing champion of the value of creativity and design thinking, Daniel led an international team of curators and creatives as the Event Director of the inaugural Asia Pacific Design Triennial. He has also worked as a senior member of creative production teams specialising in luxury fashion, delivering over 150 runway shows and fashion events worldwide for brands such as Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Hussein Chalayan, KTZ and Gareth Pugh. This included being Show Manager of the first major African Fashion Week, London Fashion Week (6 seasons) and Fashion for Relief (Haiti).
To help support the next generation of creative professionals, Daniel collaborated closely with the RMIT academic team over a five year period to craft a new, ground-breaking advertising major. He stepped down as Chair of the Industry Advisory Committee in August 2023.
Daniel is currently based in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia.
