2020 was the year of the cancellation. So when Australia’s strict lockdowns were lifted just in time for Christmas, MYER (Australia’s most iconic department store) took the opportunity to redefine what Christmas could mean. With Australians now allowed to come together and celebrate, it inspired them to combine Christmas with all the events they’d missed; birthdays, graduations, Easter, weddings, bar mitzvahs, Ramadan, Chinese New Year and much more. The result was one chaotically wonderful campaign and day and the strongest festive-season results in many, many years.
